Johan De Geer

As the Founding Partner of the Vietnam based collaborative activist investment firm Endurance Capital Advisors, Johan has over 10 years of experience of research and active engagement with Vietnamese public companies, some of which boards he has served on as a certified Board Member for Vietnamese public entities. 

Johan is also the Chairman of Ascensia Partners, a firm he founded in 2015 and which serves foreign and domestic clients with advice and execution within the fields of Strategic Market Entry, Corporate Finance as well as M&A services across southeast Asia and in partnership with CDI Global – a worldwide network of cross-border mid-market M&A boutiques present in 30 countries.

Johan’s previous operational management experience in transition economies include C-Level, Sales and Marketing and Country Management positions in Vietnam, the Baltics and in the Ukraine including several turn-around projects within the FMCG-industry.

From 2007 to 2009, Johan worked with The Boston Consulting Group in Stockholm as a management consultant on strategy projects within areas such as M&A, Due Diligence, Organisational Development, Corporate Governance and Growth Acceleration.

Johan is a graduate of merit from the Nordic Combat School where he received an extensive and practical leadership education to become a 2nd Lieutenant in the Swedish Mechanised Infantry Reserves.  

Johan holds a Master’s degree in Marketing and Finance from the Stockholm School of Economics, as well as a minor in international business from St. Petersburg State University.
