In 1996 Jari was awarded the prestigious title of “Trade Commissioner of the Year” for excellence in assisting numerous companies into the Thai market. Jari continued to lead Finland’s export promotion agency for several years following as Vice President and Head of the Region headquartered in Hong Kong.

Jari is the founding partner of the Hong Kong-based boutique consulting firm Asia Sales Channels, which advises client companies in establishing and improving complex channel sales and systems. Over the years Jari has executed hundreds of assignments across Asia for various tech and software firms from multiple business sectors.

Jari’s personal focus within Asian Insiders is clean-tech and renewable energy and has been a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) since 2010. This and his wide experience in consulting across Asia allows Jari a special “APAC-wide” role as coordinator in client work and in scoping the content for most client assignments.

From 2018 to 2020 Jari was also the President of the Thai-Finnish Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) and since acts as an Adviser to the TFCC Board of Directors. Jari also serves on the board of the Finnish Management Consultants Association.

Jari holds a Masters degree in Economics from Turku School of Economics, Finland.
